One of the most entertaining and addictive games that the company PopCap Games has created is certainly Bejeweled. Currently there are 2 sets of the same and hundreds of adaptations to different themes but they carry the essence of this popular puzzle.
For those unfamiliar with the game, the versions in 2001 and in 2004 consist of diamonds to be joining the same shape and color to avoid the time runs out and can not move forward to the challenge.
However, as a pleasant surprise, the official company blog PopCap Games have posted an entry announced Bejeweled 3, which will hit the Mac and Windows platforms on 7th December and shortly after the other consoles.
Without doubt wonderful news for all fans of this game but the truth, there are hundreds of thousands worldwide.
Bejeweled 3 will include new interpretations of the original game as Mariposa, ice storms or Poker. There will also be a new way missions and 11 different mini-games that will leave us with a total of 40 tests. We also have the ability to customize the gaming experience in Zen mode
As regards the technical side, the game will sport a high definition graphic effects that accompany a repertoire of sound effects that promise to offer a great visual experience.
“The challenge of creating a new version of Bejeweled is to innovate and stay fresh and exciting without losing the gameplay to the millions of fans love the series,” says the founder of PopCap, Jason Kapalka. “We have worked hard to make Bejeweled 3 maintains the classic style while offering a host of new features for the game, Kapalka concludes.
No details were given about a possible jump title to the home console.
